Seeds of Inclusion, Inc.

Seeds of Inclusion is an IRS registered 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization based in Central Florida.  Our horticulture, gardening and nature-based programs are designed to bring people with diverse abilities into the mainstream of life together. We understand the uniquely restorative and beneficial attributes of connecting people with nature for activities that promote inclusion, health, happiness and quality of life.

We began our journey in 2015 as a passionate consortium of volunteer professionals with a shared interest in therapeutic horticulture. Each member of our development team has been contributing expertise from the following specialties: occupational therapy, vocational rehabilitation, special education, mobility/orientation, healthcare garden design, senior care, recreational therapy and plant science.

People-Plant Interaction

The therapeutic impact of “people-plant interaction” is well documented. The benefits can be profound at all touchpoints: physical, functional, emotional, psychological and spiritual.

Our Community Partners:

We create innovative programming and train Inclusive Gardening Community Volunteers through the University of Florida/IFAS Extension. Through a partnership with Advent Health University’s Occupational Therapy Program, graduate students volunteer and do their Capstone research projects with us.
